My husband says this will not fit the bathroom sink in the hallway powder room. A guest dropped an earring in our old drain and retrieving it was such a hassle I thought this would be a good idea. I was wrong so it’s now a returned item.

Esthetcally designed. Brass and stainless steel materials so corrosion should not be an issue. I would recommend to use silicon lubricant on all threads. It will pay off few years down the road when you will have to take it apart to clean it.

This bottle trap was really easy to install. The main bottle trap body is heavy and stout. It looks great. The horizontal slip pipe is a little thin but does the job. Please note in many US states, bottle traps are actually not code approved. So check your local plumbing code.

The p-trap itself looks great I just couldn’t get it to work with my smaller corner mounted sink. It’s my own fault, as I measured from the old sink that was there. The plumbing coming from the wall didn’t align. I’m hoping further along in my remodel I can move the plumbing so I can actually use it, as the look is far better than normal plastic pvc pipe.

Looks really good and works perfectly, but needed some adaptations and a modification. The decorative chrome nut that attaches to the bottom of the sink drain would not fit over the longer after-market down-tube. Luckily I have a small metal lathe and was able to remove enough material cleanly so it would pass over the down-tube beautifully.
As the drain in the wall is 1 1/2″ and the unit is 1 1/4″, it required an adapter with a step-down rubber washer so be sure you can use it with your rough plumbing.
But once it went in, it looks GREAT because the vanity and vessel sink are clear glass so it’s very visible and you don’t want an ugly P-trap or J-trap showing.
